DAY 1

Day1 - Fathers Day, June 16, 2013

Loaded up for Bear! Looking heavy...

A difficult good-bye, left LA in overcast 64°F, it's been 90-94°F once past the San Fernando Valley. Beautiful day all the way up. Nice & liesurly, stopped in Mohave & Bishop for Ice-Coffee.

Visited the Manzanar War Relocation Center which was one of ten camps where Japanese American citizens and resident Japanese aliens were interned during World War II. So sad, these were friends, neighbors, US Citizens and this was done to them. Yet today, some have a hard time locking up enemy combatants at  Guantanamo Bay detention camp located within Guantanamo Bay Naval Base, Cuba. And are determined to close the facility. These prisoners want to kill Americans... go figure.

Found a nice little camp site on Crowley Lake for the night. Campsite full of RV's, but no one outside. Doing laps of the campsite I bumped into Brian from Kingman Az., asked me if I know Jesus... then said wait a minute, went inside his rig and came back out with a pamphlet. SHIT, didn't know what he was going to come out with!

Till next post, take care...
