Spent the morning at LBBMW; I took my bike in for an another set of eyes to look it over... Safety Check, they took good care of me, but boy I dropped the ball... Peter & Greg's service department ROCKS! Glenn, technician, discovered a big chunk out of my fairly new front tire (sabotage!), replaced it with a KC60, weeping oil sight flow window, worn rear brake pads... oil & filter, brake fluid change, and 4.5 hours later OUCH! At least I feel better that there aren't any other major issues. I'll ship a new KC60 rear tire to Anchorage so that by the time I arrive there and the rear is worn out I'll have a matching rear tire to install.
Now, just got to decide what I'm taking, where to put it and sit back, point it north.
Lance received his shipment from Twisted Throttle Motorcycle Supply. He and his son/daughter (education / home school, electrical & mechanical engineering curriculum) are spending quality time installing the crash bars, panier's, lights, shock... heck, for a fairly new bike, it's going be pretty tricked out...
Five more weeks and Glacier National Park's Going-to-the-Sun Road opens. We hope to be there to cross over into Canada, we'll see...
Damn logistics, so much to do and so little time to do it...
